The science-fiction fantasy anime is based on a Chinese web novel by 遠瞳 (ANN could not verify the romanization of the author's name). The work centers on Yoshihito, a 23-year-old man who has no job or girlfriend. In order to make ends meet he rents out one of the rooms in his house.
