posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
Game launched in English on October 31

The official English Facebook page for the Record of Grancrest War: Quartet Conflict smartphone game based on Ryo Mizuno's Record of Grancrest War novel series announced on Friday that the game's English version will end service on June 20. The staff disabled purchases of in-game "Crest Stones" with the announcement.

The Japanese website for the game also announced on Friday that the game will shut down on June 20. The game launched in Japan in June 2018, and Bandai Namco Entertainment America announced in September that it would release the game in English. The game then launched in English on October 31.

The game allows players to relive scenes from the anime alongside characters such as Theo, Irvin, Siluca, and Aishela, and also features new characters and original stories. The game also features a "Faction War," where players will align themselves with either the Fantasia Union or Factory Alliance.

The game celebrates the 30th anniversary of Mizuno's Record of Lodoss War series.

The 24-episode Record of Grancrest War anime premiered in Japan in January 2018. Aniplex of America streamed the series on Crunchyroll and Hulu as it aired.
