Crunchyroll Adds Simulcast for Wise Man's Grandchild Anime

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
1st 2 episodes now available, with new episodes on Wednesdays

Crunchyroll announced on Monday that it has added the Wise Man's Grandchild anime to its streaming simulcast lineup. The first two episodes are already available in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Iceland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and the Netherlands. Future episodes will debut on Wednesdays at 11:30 a.m. EDT.

The anime premiered on April 10.

The anime adapts Tsuyoshi Yoshioka's fantasy novel series Kenja no Mago. Funimation is also streaming the anime with both English subtitles and an English dub. Both Funimation and Crunchyroll describe the anime:

A young man dies in a car accident and is reborn in a magical new world. The old, yet wise Merlin finds the boy, names him Shin, raises him from infancy, and teaches him combat and powerful magic along the way. 15years later, Shin is ready to travel the globe on his own, but Merlin forgot to teach him something major—common sense!

Masafumi Tamura (Two Car, Ange Vierge) is directing the anime at SILVER LINK, and Tatsuya Takahashi (The IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls, Beatless, Eromanga Sensei) is overseeing the series scripts. Yuki Sawairi (Masamune-kun's Revenge, Two Car) is designing the characters.
