Weekly Shonen Magazine Launches Advice-Giving Twitter Account

Magazine celebrates its 60th anniversary with collaboration with Mitsuya Cider

Weekly Shōnen Magazine launched a Twitter account on Monday called the "Single Panel Advice Box" (@mitsuyamagazine) which sets out to answer life questions with one-liners from 10 series featured in Weekly Shōnen Magazine. The series are Ahiru no Sora, Kindaichi Case Files, Cromartie High School, GTO, Attack on Titan, The Seven Deadly Sins, Hajime no Ippo, Fairy Tail, Baby Steps, and Negima! Magister Negi Magi.

The Twitter account was launched to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Weekly Shōnen Magazine, and is sponsored by soft drink company Mitsuya Cider.

The way the Twitter account works is simple: users simply have to @ their questions to the account, and it will respond to you with a relevant image to your situation. Weekly Shōnen Magazine's collaboration website with Mitsuya Cider shows an example of a question and answer.

Question: "In the end, is a person's appearance everything?"

Answer: "What's important is right here!!"

Roughly 500 types of responses have been prepared. Naturally, don't expect much to address your problems besides platitudes lifted out of context.

The collaboration website also gives you the opportunity to show your support for the 10 series by clicking a button and obtaining an illustrated banner. An ad sharing information about the collaboration will be displayed at the Shinjuku and Shibuya metro stations on July 15.
