Manga Artist Steve Bennett Added to Otakon Guest Roster

Washington, D.C. (July 11, 2019) – Manga artist Steve Bennett has been added to the guest roster at Otakon 2019, according to Otakorp Inc.

Bennett worked on anime in Tokyo with Noburu Furusei ('New Dominion Tank Police," "Lupin III," and more) at Studio Aoehyma in the 1980s. He worked on series like "Urusei Yatsura" and "Yamamoto," as well, before returning to the States.

Bennett was with Studio Ironcat, a manga-publication company, from 1997 to 2004. He's worked on several web comics, including "The Angel of St. Thomas" and "Baba Bhalu." In addition, he's attended numerous conventions, teaching cel painting classes and drawing on anything that moves. Bennett has also done guest speaker gigs at institutions such as the Iowa Museum of Art and the Freer Gallery of Art.

Currently, Steve is working on commissioned projects.

Otakon 2019 will be held July 26-28, 2019 at the Walter Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.
