Macross Streaming Program's BD to Include Concert CG Anime Shorts

The official portal site for the Macross franchise revealed on Monday that the "special Blu-ray Disc" for the live-streaming program Macross ga Tomaranai will include, as bonus extras, the animation shorts that debuted during four recent Macross concerts.

These bonus extras include a special animation to commemorate the franchise's 35th anniversary, first shown during last September's "Macross 35th Anniversary x Kentarō Haneda 10th Memorial: Super Dimension Orchestral" concert. They also include the opening CG anime short from the Walküre group's 2nd live concert run ("Walküre ga Tomaranai"), Hidetaka Tenjin's "Walküre Launch!!!!!" opening CG anime short from the Walküre group's 3nd live concert run ("Walküre wa Uragiranai"), and Graphinica's opening anime short from the recent "Macross Crossover Live 2019" concert in June.

Amazon.co.jp is exclusively offering the tentatively titled Macross ga Tomaranai Special Disc for release on December 16.

The "Macross ga Tomaranai" live-streaming program debuted in January 2017, and runs on the SHOWROOM live-streaming site every two weeks on Friday at 10:00 p.m. Macross Delta cast members Nao Tōyama (Reina Prowler), Minori Suzuki (Freyja Wion), and KENN (Bogue Con-Vaart) are the hosts for the show.
