The official website for the Kemono Friends franchise announced on Wednesday that Akane Misaka will be the new voice actress for the character Fennec, and she will also perform in the related musical unit Doubutsu Biscuits. She will voice Fennec in the upcoming Kemono Friends 3 smartphone and arcade game, and will participate in the theme song "Ke・mo・no・da・mo・no" (I'm an Animal, After All).

Kana Motomiya, the previous voice actress for the characters Fennec and Giant Armadillo, graduated from the franchise and musical unit Doubutsu Biscuits during the "Kemono Friends Party" event on July 27. The franchise's staff has not announced who will voice Giant Armadillo after Motomiya.

Nexon's original Kemono Friends app game launched in early 2016 and ended service in December of that year — before the Kemono Friends anime even aired. The 12-episode television anime then premiered on TV Tokyo and TV Osaka in January 2017 and ended in March 2017. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired. Kemono Friends 2, the 12-episode television anime's second season, premiered in Japan in January. Crunchyroll streamed the anime worldwide outside of Asia. Discotek Media will ship the first season on Blu-ray Disc on September 24.

The franchise has also inspired smartphone apps and manga. A Kemono Friends Picross game for Nintendo Switch launched in Japan and in the WEST. last October.

The Kemono Friends 3 project is both a smartphone game and an arcade game. The smartphone game will launch on September 24, and the arcade game will launch this year.

The franchise's first stage play debuted in June 2017, and a second stage play debuted last November. A new stage play will debut this fall.
