Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore Switch Game's Japanese Version Is Based on Wii U Game's Western Release

The official website of Atlus' Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore (Genei Ibun Roku #FE Encore) role-playing game revealed on Thursday that the Japanese version of the Nintendo Switch game adds elements based on the Western version of the original Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE game for the Wii U. The website also noted that every region's version of the Switch game will share the same content. The Wii U game's Western release featured censorship changes, including altered character costumes.

The Switch game's Japanese website features a screenshot of the main character Tsubasa Oribe in an outfit that had been altered in the Wii U game's western version (seen below):

The Switch version will ship on January 17. The new version will add new songs and costumes, as well as additional scenarios and dungeons.

The worlds of the Fire Emblem series and Atlus games have crossed paths again and the result is coming to the Nintendo Switch™ system. Atlus released the game in Japan for the Wii U in December 2015. Atlus USA shipped the game in North America in June 2016.
