"Guilty Gear 20th Anniversary Pack" also gets Deluxe Edition physical release in N. America

Arc System Works unveiled a new trailer for its new Guilty Gear game on Sunday. The trailer reveals the game's title as Guilty Gear -Strive-, and reveals the game's late 2020 release date. The trailer also teases the returning character Faust.

Arc System Works also revealed that it will release the "Guilty Gear 20th Anniversary Pack Deluxe Edition" bundle in North America on the Switch. The release will include the physical game (the original Guilty Gear game and the Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R game), a collector steelbook, a Sol Badguy headband, an anniversary commemorative coin, and other content. PQube released the bundle in Europe on May 19.

Daisuke Ishiwatari is the Guilty Gear -Strive- game's general director, and Akira Katano is directing the game. Previously revealed characters include: Sol Badguy, Ky Kiske, May, Axl Low, Chipp Zanuff, and Potemkin.

Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2, the series' latest entry, was marketed as both a new entry in the series and as a lower-priced online update for Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator. The game launched for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC in May 2017, and also launched in arcades in Japan in the same month.

The original Guilty Gear fighting game debuted on PlayStation on May 14, 1998. The franchise celebrated its 20th anniversary last year. Arc System Works America released the Guilty Gear and Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R games individually digitally in the United States, and also released the original Guilty Gear game for PS4 and PC (via Steam).
