Koisuru Asteroid Anime's 2nd Promo Video Previews Theme Songs

Anime about astronomy club premieres on January 3

The official website for the television anime of Quro's Koisuru Asteroid (Asteroid in Love) manga began streaming the second promotional video on Friday. The video previews the opening theme song "Aruiteikō!" (Let's Go for a Walk!) by Nao Tōyama and the the ending theme song "Yozora" (Night Sky) by Minori Suzuki.

The website also updated the anime's broadcast schedule. The anime will premiere in Japan on AT-X on January 3 at 8:30 p.m., before airing later that night on Tokyo MX, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, TV Aichi, and BS11. The anime will also begin streaming that night on d Anime Store.

The main cast members are:

Tomoyo Takayanagi as Mira Konohata, a first-year student in the astronomy group within the earth sciences club. She had decided to join the astronomy club in high school — but her school abolished its standalone astronomy club a year ago

Megumi Yamaguchi as Ao Manaka, a first-year student (with an interest in astronomy since she was little) who joined the earth sciences club's astronomy group

Maria Sashide as Mai Inose, a second-year student in the geology group who enjoys trekking with maps

Nao Tōyama as Mikage Sakurai, a third-year student in the geology group, and the overall earth science club's vice-president

Sumire Uesaka as Mari Morino, a third-year student in the astronomy group, and the overall earth science club's president

Daisuke Hiramaki (WATATEN!: an Angel Flew Down to Me) is directing the anime at Doga Kobo. Yuka Yamada (WATATEN!: an Angel Flew Down to Me, Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid) is handling series scripts. Jun Yamazaki (Three Leaves, Three Colors, Uzamaid!) is designing the characters.

The manga centers on Mira, a girl who dreams of joining the astronomy club once she got into high school, after meeting a man and promising to discover new asteroids when she was younger. But the high school she got into had abolished its astronomy club the year before she enrolled, and it has now been combined with the earth sciences club.

Quro launched the manga in Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara Carat magazine in January 2017. Houbunsha published the manga's second compiled book volume on May 27.
