Spalding Turns One Piece's Devil Fruits Into Basketballs

Spalding Japan announced between June 28 to July 6 that it is collaborating with popular anime series One Piece for a line of basketball merchandise. The company kicked off the announcements by showcasing these “designs that encapsulate the world of One Piece, such as basketballs and basketball shorts decorated with iconic scenes,” starting with series lead Monkey D. Luffy receiving his signature straw hat from Shanks:

The line also includes t-shirts and mini-backboards, Best of all, you can get basketballs inspired by the Human-Human Fruit (eaten by Tony Tony Chopper), the Flame-Flame Fruit (Portgas D. Ace), and the Gum-Gum Fruit (Luffy).

Spalding Japan also offers One Piece backpacks, tote bags, and keychains. The apparel comes in men's, women's, and children's sizes. Prices for the collaboration merchandise range from 1,320 yen to 8,030 yen (about US$9 to US$55). As of press time all but the One Piece mini-backboards, Gum-Gum Fruit tote bag, and Human-Human Fruit tote bag are sold out.
