Funimation Announces Deadman Wonderland Dub Cast

FUNimation Entertainment announced the English dub cast for the upcoming broadcast of the Deadman Wonderland television anime series on Monday. Adult Swim revealed that their upcoming Toonami block of programming, which begins on May 26, will air the series.

The Deadman Wonderland television anime adapts Jinsei Kataoka and Kazuma Kondou's manga of the same name. The story is set after the destruction of most of Tokyo by an earthquake, and it centers on Ganta Igarashi, a middle school student framed for the murder of his classmates. Igarashi is sentenced to Deadman Wonderland, a bizarre privatized prison that is one part incarceration and one part public spectacle for tourists. The anime premiered in Japan in April, and Crunchyroll streamed it overseas as it aired in Japan. Funimation announced that it had acquired the license for the show in 2011 at its panel at Anime Expo.
