Ange Vierge Linkage Manga to End in March

Manga based on trading card game that is also inspiring anime

This year's second issue of Fujimi Shobo's Dragon Age magazine announced on Friday that Mako Komao's Ange Vierge Linkage manga will end in the magazine's next issue, which retails in Japan on March 9.

Ange Vierge Linkage is based on the trading card game Ange Vierge by Fujimi Shobo and Kadokawa. The game features illustrations by popular artists, such as Kantoku (HENNEKO, Magical Suite Prism Nana), Kira Inugami (Student Council's Discretion, Ebiten: Kōritsu Ebisugawa Kōkō Tenmon-Bu), Kurehito Misaki (How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend), and abec (Sword Art Online). An anime adaptation inspired by the game was announced in December.

The story of the card game follows what happens when "Hairō" portals suddenly open, fusing three different worlds together. As a result, various mysterious "Exceed" powers are awakened in teenaged girls. An academy for these so-called "Progress" girls is built on the isolated Seiran Island in the Pacific.
