I didn't expect Ajin to bomb so hard given that the manga is moderately popular. Guess no one likes that godawful (and still better looking than most) CGI. I also thought Dagashi Kashi would at least reach the 5K mark, since it had quite a bit of hype and the main girl seems to be the most popular waifu of the season

I'm also surprised by Dagashi Kashi's numbers. Would've thought it'd do better, mostly because it seems to be so hyped (or maybe all the hype is just Hotaru?). Personally, I was looking forward to Dagashi Kashi, but didn't enjoy the first 3 episodes, so I let that one go.

What does MNP (maker of AoKana BD) stand for? I'm familiar with (or at least able to guess) all the BD makers' name except this one.

Haikyu! I had no expectations for GoFaA, so it looks ok to me. AJIN! Say it ain't so!

Ajin: It is definitely so. CG is a mistake.

Grimgar and Dagashi Kashi are doing better than I thought they would. I mean these aren't great numbers or anything but good to see them here anyway.

Thank god Ajin bombed.

Don't think they won't make more, because Netflix owns the licens and can pay for a second season if it becomes decently popular.

Ecstatic that Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun is faring well. Smile

Dagashi Kashi seems to be faring somewhat well despite the moderately low sales...

I know that the numbers for Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash are not blowing anybody away, but if it ends up averaging around 3k, a second season could be possible.

Another really slow week. Nothing too impressive, but I'm somewhat satisfied with Grimgar's numbers. Thanks to Netflix, I still haven't seen Ajin, but those numbers don't really surprise me. Sidonia did reasonably well in Japan, but I get the feeling that neither were ever really meant for the domestic market as much as a global one. And in that case, the overall disc sales aren't going to be all that reflective of its success.

The thing is, sales typically fall for each subsequent volume. 3K is around the range of "well, at least we made just about all our money back". I haven't heard how the light novel sales are going, but that's probably going to be the deciding factor if they even consider giving it another season.
