Some people thought Funimation would license this but honestly, since most video game dubbing is done in California, I highly doubted that. WHEN this series gets a dub, expect Sam Riegel to come back for Nick.

Wonder if they'll use the localized names or not.

Either way I'm super excited!!

It would be nice for the English dub cast to be consistent with the games compared to all the recasts we've had on the Japanese side...

Holy crap, I didn't realise it was on the 2nd April! Shocked Hoping it does get picked up for an English dub. Started the first game again a few days ago. Smile

There was no way Funimation would have gotten this unless Aniplex shared it along side having it on CR like Erased was last season.

As much as I like continuity, I kind of hope that someone else licenses Ace Attorney and recasts the English dub. The other voices from 5 were good, but I just seriously hate Sam Riegel's voice. Hated him as Teddy too.

what's worse is that the games' Japanese VAs are still playing their characters for recent games like Dual Destinies,Project X Zone 2 and Ace Attorney 6,making the anime's recasts even more pointless...

This is totally just wishful thinking, but I'd love it if the Let's Dub Project were in on it. Dan DeLaRosa's performance as Phoenix totally triumphs over Sam Riegel!

And especially after they made this.

Ace Attorney was the last of the animes I wanted a simulcast for, so I'm really happy it's getting one. Very Happy

It's from Yomiuri TV, not Aniplex.

Glad Crunchy used the original Japanese names instead of the butcherised American names.

Well, if its anything not surprising, I've read/heard there's an alternate subtitle track that you can change it to the English version's names, just by right clicking on the video itself.

So...yeah, lol.

Me too. At least there's an option for people who want localized names and they're not forced onto us like with Digimon or Yu-Gi-Oh. You have to go with the fansubs of those if you want the original names.

For those who are new, you may want to spend some time on the games, this anime absolutely requires you to have played the games due to how faithful it is, even though it's rushed a bit to fit 24 minutes (even then the first case in the game can be completed in a little over 24 minutes).

Looks like the next three/four cases will be portrayed by segments, ie each day of the case is collected as one episode.
