Had mixed experience with the previous series. I wonder how this will work out though with the split. The character designs looks rather diverse in the image.

Hold up didn't Kazutaka Kodaka say today ( seconds ago ) he wasn't able to write anything related to Danganronpa 2 ? I'm hype for this I just don't like the flip flopping that going around here and it gets annoying.

I'm excited for this! I enjoyed the first anime they did, so I have noting but anticipation for this new one. I also love the fact that they're including some of the characters from the first one, but I am also confused...wasn't there an article saying that none of the content from the first series and game would be in this second anime?
Maybe I misunderstood? |

I highly recommend adding a spoiler tag to the video in this article, since it lays out pretty much all the big spoilers from Danganronpa 1 and 2...
After the announcement trailer he tweeted that he was trolling/playing with the expectations of fans wondering what would be done regarding the stuff brought up in Danganronpa 2. Like I said in the previous article, if you care or are even curious about the 2nd game, play it or watch a walkthrough. Zetsubo Hen will more than likely make you do that now.

If Funimation pick this up and do a broadcast dub they better bring back the original cast.
I didn't mind Caitlin Glass and Felecia Angelle as Kirigiri and Hina but Brian Beacock's Monokuma was way more menacing and just plain funny than Greg Ayres' Gilbert Gottfried impersonation. Even worse was that obnoxious 'surfer brah' dialect that Hagakure uses. Granted the original series cut out a lot from the game so it's not like the show ever presented the cast as anything more than one note stereotypes. Maybe if they give the cast better material to work with then they'll give better performances. |

... I feel deceived. And, honestly, a little bit disappointed. I'm not sure there's really much to tell about the past of the DR2 characters. The only things we could really learn are stuff we probably would regret knowing, like spoiler[who committed necrophilia].
...Or why it would air after the part about the DR1 cast. It feels like it should be the other way around. |

I actually thinks the past of them as one of the biggest mysteries left and I'm very hyped with that. spoiler[about that issue, that's only fandom speculation, the right way to try to make a baby in that situation it would be remove her ovum and fecundate outside of the body and then transplant in a healthy womb, I'd say it would be Tsumiki.] |

spoiler[I mainly feel that if they show how Junko corrupted them, it'll only dampen the experience. I don't need a prequel story detailing how the insane cultists became insane cultists. They just did. Heck, in this case, I can basically just modify Monaca's story from DR:AE to get the general idea. I don't need a 12 episode series to show me that story again. Given the image that was shown alongside the line concerning it, I'm 90.73% certain that necrophilia is what they were going for. It's not like any of them were acting rationally; they were all bat**** insane, after all.] |
