Oh God! Why it had to be Level 5 of all things?? Didn't they learned their lesson when they almost ruined Gundam?

Huh, the English logo and Level 5 involvement make me think there might be plans to release it out west. Would be a neat first (yeah I know there's the jumbled together VHS movies, Timefighters, and the hilariously awful dubbed Time Bokan OVA, but the series never really ever got a fair shake)

Time Bokan is back. Smile

Wonder if we'll see a Yatterman cameo and/or reference?

Nah, it'll probably be fine. There's nothing to really ruin with a wacky franchise like Time Bokan. Unless you try to make it like Gundam or something, which Level-5 is clearly incapable of.

Level 5 didn't ruin Gundam AGE, it was the bad directing and writing that ruined it. The concept was actually pretty good.

Wonder if anyone is even going to translate the new Time Bokan show. Nobody is translating the old ones because the script is heavy with puns that are a pain to translate. Hopefully someone licenses it.

Have you seen Inagaki's track record? The first few episodes of Total Eclipse, World Break, and Kuusen were all brutally bad.

The only thing that gives it any hope is Jewelpet Sunshine, which gives him a track record of a somewhat successful (if bizarre) children's show.

This looks pretty cool actually. I want to get into Time Bokan series but they're rarely subbed so that's been holding me back. Will probably give this one a try though.

To be honest, I forgot about that, but even then that was a sub-only DVD for the niche, hardcore fans, right? The point still stands that this could be the first REAL attempt at bringing the series here.

Well, Akihiro Hino (Level-5's CEO) wrote AGE, so...

I have zero hopes for this. The 2008 Yatterman remake was soulless, bland and completely lacked the charm that made the original series so fun. This looks like it's going to be a similar modernization for today's kids, which just sets my warning lights off.
