That was very wierd. The part in the middle seemed to have nothing to do with the parts at either end.

Is this different from the TV series that just aired?
If that is so, the character designs look much better in this new version. |

At a guess, it's set about 4-5 years after the original, going on the age of the characters. It also looks like a darker series.
The Story section on the website just states "What would happen if you take the same story and give it to two different studios...", though with more words! Sounds like AIR Tv and AIR the Movie. Anyway, I liked the first series, so I'll watch at least the first couple of episodes of this. And the middle section looks like a refuge from Excel Saga. Was that Nabeshin piloting the Hang-glider?

It's widely rumoured that the director is Nabeshin... well, whatever it is it looks a helluva lot better than the first Futakoi
