To think this Anime is STILL popular enough to sell merchandise after all this time. I have to admit, it is one of my favorites.

As a huge Cardcaptor Sakura fan who has collected the entirety of the Bandai line of toys, I have to admit that it is a little frustrating as it means that my quest is still not complete. However, Takara Tomy is not just re-releasing everything. It looks like they have actually put in a ton of effort and thought into this toyline and I am really excited to get everything and review everything. This is the kind of nostalgia bait that I will be more than happy to take.

In fact, I am still reeling in shock from the sheer unadulterated awesomeness this is turning out to be. I haven't been this excited for a toy since the CSA Digivice... Well, I guess that's kinda expected, seeing that CCS and Digimon are my 2 biggest nostalgia-bait shows. (^.^;) Of course, the fact that these toys aim to be faithful replicas just push them over the top. Nothing gets me more excited than show-accurate replicas. In fact, I'd say that replicas/role-play toys are my absolute favorite type of collectible. We sure have come a long way from the days when toys just randomly beeped and barely resembled the item from the show they are supposed to represent.

Funny that this is announced on Maaya Sakamoto's birthday, as she voiced card #53... The Nothing.

I really wish they would remaster this show, it rings back so many childhood memories, i remember when people would watch Sailor Moon over this and i never could fathom why since Sailor Moon seems more tailored to women

They still don't want to let this show go even after all these years. Why not bring it back for a new generation like Sailor Moon? A remake, reboot, something.

If anything I dont want Toei to touch Cardcaptor Sakura.
Sailormoon, Dragonball and Digimon, they already ruined them.

The Clow Cards were probably the favorite part of watching the show. I always enjoyed the designs. Very intricate and imaginative.

And oh those stories when the show first started. It was filled with "witchery Just look at that book!!" Oh Cardcraptors you destroyed a many CCS fans dreams.

They did remaster it and put it out on bluray here almost two years ago. Sadly the only way to get the show on bluray is to buy the whole thing in one, big expensive set, but I can say from personal experience that it was worth every penny. http://www.rightstufanime.com/Cardcaptor-Sakura-Blu-ray-Complete-Series-Hyb-Premium-Edition

@AceLuffy4Ever

NISA's DVD standard edition came out in three sets.

The US English language edition was heavily edited with episodes omitted and rearranged. There was no practical way to attach that dub track to the completed uncut series. When the series was originally issued by Pioneer on single DVDs they did not include both subtitled and dubbed version on the same disk as was normal. They issued the English language Card Captors version as a different series from the subtitled Cardcaptor Sakura series.

Officially NISA re-issued it as subtitled only. As an extra they included the Animax dub done for English speakers in Asia. That dub generally doesn't get good reviews.

RACS has all three DVD sets available for $42.98 each the complete Bluray version is available for $178.98. TRSI also has the Bluray version and at least the first DVD set.

That sounds like an absolutely Herculean task. It looks like it's one of the most merchandised franchises in history, so it sounds like those Disney Pins collections where people have hundreds upon hundreds of something specific and a whole wall to display them. Or did Bandai not release that many of them?

Some very awesomely cute goodies I'm seeing here. Smile Buying that plush of Kero-chan would be a CCS cosplayer's dream come true, I bet.
