This is adorable! It is good to see veteran mangaka offering their support to promising newcomers.
My Hero Academia has been consistently high quality in regards to plot, art, and character variety and I am glad to see it picking up.
I was actually a little disappointed when I saw Funimation advertise it by immediately comparing it to Bleach, Naruto, and Dragonball Z... Let it flourish on its own merit, it doesn't need to be pushed as the next Naruto.

I much prefer this type of endorsement, rather than Funimation audaciously crying this series out to be the next Naruto or DBZ. I'm a huge fan of the manga, and I do think it's really worth a read. However people are putting way too much weight on this anime, and it's going to probably suffer because of it.
Anyway, seeing the support Horikoshi is gaining from the likes of Kishimoto and Oda, makes me really happy. I am much looking forward to the first episode of the anime today.

Anyway, this is cool. Here's hoping Izuku gets to actually meet Naruto in a future video game or something.

In spite of my complete lack of interest in Naruto (I can't say I'm particularly fond of the picture either, I have a hit or miss mindset with his artstyle), I always love this type of comradery that the authors show amongst each other, and it's even nicer considering Horikoshi was a fan of the series back in the day. Its cool that something I don't really care for helped inspire something I really like now and I'm looking forward to tomorrow!

Dude go away! Its not about who's better or not...Kishi is cheering him on and congratulating him! what is wrong with that?
Anyways, I love this! So nice of Kishi showing support to other mangakas!

It IS strange since it only is going to last 13 episodes as opposed to those endless series. I'm honestly not into the cour format, but if it does end up lasting more than 100 episodes, then yeah - it's probably a worthy comparison to those series (or Toriko).

You seem to be turning the My Hero Academia fandom sour all by your lonesome for no reason.
on the bright side, it's great to see the series being cheered on. I'm also happy to see the series take off for Horikoshi and glad he didn't let the cancellation of his previous series stop him from pushing forward.
I like the 12-13 episode approach that has been going on for these new series, I think it's the best way to go about adapting them so they don't run into as many animation problems and need for filler. If this approach had been adopted sooner we might have had a better adaption of Blue Exorcist.

You're the one that came in talking trash, not any Naruto fans. I don't know what the hell is wrong with you people. I don't remember the anime community being what the gaming community always has been. Quite sad.
Anyway, I really can't believe a series that came out on Toonami when I was in High School is inspiring new content. Time really flies.
