Doesn't it feel a bit weird to cast actors when it hasn't even been confirmed that the dub is going through according to the Kickstarter page? Honestly, where it stands now, I'm not sure if it will get dubbed, unless we all pool in over $60,000 in just two weeks.

Gemnist, with enough fan support, I think it could happen. Also, the Japanese rights holders said that an English dub had to be done for it to get a release.

At the current pace, they will not reach the funding goal. Of course, I am praying my hardest for last-days-push, ala miracles

I like this idea. It's helping to generate more buzz. The campaign is going smooth and hopefully keeps it up and has a big boost at the end. It should hit the goal and maybe bluray if it has that big push at the end that so many kickstarter campaigns have. Will be fun to watch. Erica Lindbeck is a great casting choice too. I look forward to the dub of Skip Beat!

Put positive vibes out into the universe. And pledges in the campaign. Actually, the campaign's pledge rate has picked up in the past few days, and there are one to two more challenges in the works and some additional options coming. And the street team is still getting the word out. There are people who aren't as plugged in who just heard about the KS today. And they're pumped.

It's not uncommon for actors to sign onto projects only for those projects not to make. Hollywood is littered with that scenario. Nobody starts out with the idea the project won't make. The milestone announcements are another way to energize the fan base.

I think we get spoiled with KS's funding in 5 days. But that's not always the case.

Okay there you go I helped. Took a chance on the $65 tier even though I haven't seen this.

I loved this anime, and I agree it's right up there as one of the best anime of all time. I had no idea this Kickstarter was going on. Now I do, and I just pledged.

You gotta remember that the final 48 hours are usually the biggest funding periods for projects.

KS typically pick up a lot at the end. Skip Beat's been chugging along with new pledges each day. I think it will make it, especially with announcements like this that remind people that it's there and also get people excited for the dub. Even though I'm not a huge dub fan, I'm excited about the casting announcements. If you haven't seen Skip Beat yet, you can check it out on Crunchyroll. http://www.crunchyroll.com/skip-beat

It wasn't repeated in the news story, but it will be a DUAL language release. The original Japanese audio with improved subtitles will also be included. So you're not left out, sub lovers!

The last few days are where KS campaigns raise 30-40% of their total. Skip Beat should easily make the DVD goal. BD stretch goal could be tough, but I imagine these cast announcements are to spread more word and get more backers.

Sounds like a promising cast choice.

Really hoping they make their goal. I'd be satisfied with even the DVD release. (Blu-Ray would be awesome though)

$65,000 was raised in the first day so it's not impossible. If everyone donated as much as they can then we can reach it no problem xD.
