Expected move for Lala since Matsuri-sensei's latest manga was so underwhelming. Vampire Knight, despite its mediocrity, has a massive fanbase so this is all but a calculated stunt. Hope Matsuri-sensei can get back on track and shrug off the bad vibes by Shuriken and Pleats.

spoiler[Obviously the manga is set during the thousands of years prior to Kaname's reawakening.]

A full spin off manga that's exclusively Yuki/Zero? IT'S ABOUT DAMN TIME!!!

Meh. Vampire Knight was OK, but from all the manga in the world, it didn't need a sequel. Then again, I'm slightly more excited for this than that Fruits Basket sequel.

THIS! To infinity! And it better not have Yuuki spoiler[whining and crying over Kaname in every chapter] or I will have to drop it!

What they're making a sequel to Fruits basket?
As for Vampire knight.I saw the anime of Vampire knight and i thought it was ok but i didn't continue the manga...Don't know what's the reason for the author wanting to continue maybe they have more to tell maybe because it makes them money whatever the reason is I guess this is good for the fans who want more..Personally i'm waiting for news from Ikeda Akihisa and hoping for a sequel to R+V...

Huh. Well this is unexpected. But it's very welcomed IMO. The ending left a lot of holes and blanks that needed to be filled. I know some people probaly will think a sequel is unnecessary but I'm looking forward to it now. I wanted more anyway.

I think the ending of Fruits Basket is already perfect as it is, the same goes for VK I agree with you the ending felt so rushed but i dont think it needs a sequel, unless the author introduces some new characters or Kaname will end up marrying someone... But let's just see VK is such a big hit

Being a huge fan of Zero x Yuuki, I'm looking forward to this. ^^ I hated that the ending really didn't give us much in the way of how their relationship went (with exception of the obvious that the last chapter portrayed), so I'm very happy that Matsuri Hino decided to go back and give us a manga based around them.

Although I suspect this may be Yuuki angsting about how spoiler[Kaname's not around and potentially being a terrible mother to her children... And also considering the stuff which happens in the last arc, how Zero's fine with being Yuuki's #2 is still a complete mystery to me...] The ending was too ambiguous to me and it felt like whatever writing the series had threw itself off a cliff - but anyway, I've followed this series since my young weaboo days, and I guess I'll have a look at this for the nostalgia (and also to find out what happened to Aidou....) Cool

Eh, I'm pretty leery on this. We already got the bonus chapters, which were supposed to showcase Yuki and Zero, and we all know how that went. I'm getting lots of "fool me once, fool me twice" vibes from this, and I have very little faith that this series will be able to avoid what seems to be its own inherent bias and give the Zero fans a fair shake. :/

EDIT: Just as a heads up, it seems like the Extra chapters play into this series. At the very least, Extra Chapter 4 leads directly into this, though it also shows how Zero spoiler[died].

I wasn't ever expecting to see this as a headline. While I loved Wanted and MeruPuri, VK proved to be tiresome. I feel like Matsuri Hino is better at writing a short series.
