"The Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Dark Side of Dimensions film will open on April 23 in Japan, and in late 2016 outside of Japan."

I'm disappointed we're not getting an Arc-V game in the style of the amazing 5D's World Championship games. But, I am kinda excited we're getting something different for once. Yugioh games used to be really creative back in the DM days, with things like Duelist of the Roses, Falsebound Kingdom, Reshef of Destruction, etc. I won't get my hopes up it'll be that good, but I am looking forward to an original story.
As for DSOD, I'm just looking forward to when a subtitled version is available. |

It depends when the DVDs/Blu-rays are released in Japan, which will take a lot of time until then, but I guess you already know that. |

I'll need a bigger SD card but I probably won't buy this at launch, Konami screwed up the last game but if it gets good reviews, I'll buy it.

I do. That's still a lot sooner than the dub's "early 2017 release date". 
It's a shame the chances of Crunchyroll subbing the movie are so slim. They're subbing almost all of the Yugioh series now, but I doubt Japan would want a movie like this available for streaming anytime soon.
Yeah, removing 28 characters worth of storylines, voice acting, storyline completion pictures, etc. was a shame. I understand Yugioh's a niche franchise, but removing over half of the game's content from the English release is not going to make fans want to buy it. Only reason I even supported such a lackluster release is because I don't want them to stop localizing the games altogether. |
