Recreating the sheer force of the anime's musical set-pieces, which were by far its strongest assets, will prove quite difficult. The sheer fluidity of the camera angles, visual effects and flashbacks turned simple recitals into rhapsodic, emotionally exhausting experiences, feats that would be laborious to replicate with a physical camera.

Such a calm and heart-warming trailer. And then spoiler[she will die at the end]. I hated that series.

I think the ending is what made the series so great and memorable. It avoided the cliche of pulling a cure out of its ass and gave you the realization that life isn't always fair. spoiler[People die]. Its what finally solidified Kosei's character development and he is now a not so depressed person anymore, on top of being back in the music world.

I hate the trope of a female character's death or abuse being the cause for a male's character development.

So you would seriously rather have an ending where the author just basically pulled a cure for Kaori out of his ass without explaining it at all? That sounds like a terrible ending and would basically ruin the entire emotional build up of the show.

I disliked the show as a whole from the beginning, lol. It wouldn't have really made a difference to me.

Have you watched the live-action adaptation of Nodame Cantabile? I'm assuming they could try to capture that same essence of how a performance will be like in Nodame (camera-work and performances), in the live-action version.

Judging by the original article (prior to this), apparently the lead actor and actress are already practicing their instruments, so they could at least make it seem realistic, versus knowing the fingering and just dubbing it over.

More Suzu Hirose?
Hell, she's cute, but so overexposed (and overrated). I wish they'd give some chance to someone more talented...

I'm really hoping this is the case. I feel it would do a discredit to the series if they couldn't actually perform the pieces.
