While Sayaka being on the list is awesome, I adore her, the lack of Kanbaru and Mami is disheartening. They're two of my favourites and to not see them on the list is a little bit disappointing.

I guess I'm okay with Homura and Hitagi finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively
Shinobu is my 2nd favorite Monogatari girl after all, so I can't really complain about her victory. |

Certainly didn't expect Sengoku to show up on this list. Maybe the irrational hate toward her character is more exclusive to the Western fandom. I guess that would make sense though, considering that some of her character is explained exclusively through very Japanese symbolism, folktales and whatnot.

Kanbaru is far and away my favorite Monogatari character, so I'm disappointed to see her so disliked in Japan. Guess being an outright lesbian who has more affection for Hitagi than for the otaku insert male character makes it difficult.
Happy to see Kyouko in the top 5 though. Easily my favorite from Madoka Magica. |
