More of CS manga and anime! Wow. I feel like my childhood is coming back. Cardcaptor Sakura is one of my favorite franchise so I'm happy to see more content but hoping they will put a good effort into whatever they plan to come up with.

What? Already? The first chapter of the sequel isn't even out yet!

Well, at least this gives CLAMP more incentive to actually finish the work rather than putting it on hiatus forever.

Wonderful news! Curious to know more about the anime project. Perhaps material based on the manga sequel, but either way, happy to have it!

Again, does CCS really need a sequel? Do we really need to know what happens after "Happily Ever After"? I can understand that most fans get excited when more of the stuff they like gets produced, but I personally can't help but approach these kinds of nostalgia-bait with utmost trepidation...

Also, for the love of Haruhi and every other deity out there, NO REMAKE. Please. The original holds up perfectly well.

More animated CardCaptor Sakura is welcomed, but if the original manga is "inspiring" more anime adaptations, I can only think of a reboot. The original series was perfect for me. Was there any material that wasn't adapted from the manga?

What? Isn't the original anime full of fillers? YES it needs a remake! I will never understand why people worship filler infested magical girl anime, and yet claim they love the manga. The animes are almost always destroyed by the fillers.

If it IS a remake, good, CCS deserves it far more than SM. After this I hope SC! gets a remake as well, the anime was destroyed by fillers as well.

I wanted to said the same thing but wait I didn't know that the old anime was full of fillers >< so this project might be a remake not a sequel right?
well maybe this will be a successful project then CLAMP considers a new sequel anime for Tsubasa xD I can't help but think about it always ><

I remember reading somewhere that CLAMP worked with the studio for the CCS anime, so what is "filler" is actually written by the writer of the CLAMP team. Not too sure about the accuracy about this, so don't quote me on it.

I've never watched the CCS anime except for a few episodes but filler isn't necessarily a bad thing and a one-to-one anime adaptation of the manga isn't always the best idea either.

Hopefully it's based off the new manga and not a remake, Sailor Moon Crystal killed any faith in remakes of 90's anime.

Nanase Ohkawa was credited as scriptwriter on.... 53 out of the 70 episodes, as well as overall series composition.
In comparison, IIRC for Chobits she wrote the first and last episodes and one or two in the middle (our Encyclopedia is less exhaustive for that show unfortunately and my books are at home).

I don't give a damn if the original anime has a lot of fillers as I've seen both and truthfully, the anime made more sense in the process of Sakura becoming a card captor. But I really do love both, manga has more romance tone to it. And not all animes are ruined by fillers, Hunter X Hunter 1999 for example, you'd see character development progress slowly but surely. It differs so...

I wish this is a movie sequel. Please not a reboot. The original was so perfect already, it's one of those classic shits that has all the right stuffs from soundtrack to animation.
Well, who knows if a reboot would work out.
