Has anyone noticed that the summer season always has a lot of fujoshi aimed shows? Why don't they spread them out more? There's hardly any during the autumn-winter season.

Have you even looked at the Fall lineup for this year? There are already two very obviously fujoshi sports anime, plus UtaPri, Tourabu, Bungou Stray Dogs, and that's just the most obvious fujoshi stuff. There's also Natsume coming and Fune wo Amu and Nanbaka both look like they could have big fujoshi appeal. Last Fall there was Osomatsu, Haikyuu, Dance with Devils, Starmyu, K and OwaSera, just the most obvious fujoshi stuff. One could argue Gundam IBO is kind of a fujoshi show too

The only confirmed show for Winter'17 is Yowapeda, a sports anime. Last winter we had Rakugo, StoPri and Norn, and there was also Shirayuki-hime which is a shoujo (not quite a fujoshi show, but aimed at the female audience) and DRRR which is a beloved franchise by the fujoshi crowd.

This summer is the first time fujoshi shows outnumber otaku shows, but that's just the sign of how much the market has grown, there's been lots of fujoshi and female-oriented shows in the past year or so

"CrowLia" summed it up perfectly I think. While I'm not personally one to watch shows like this I have friends that love them, and it's enjoyable seeing more people I know get excited for more shows.

And still not a girl in sight, we're getting closer to getting the male equivalent of CGDCT anime. I'm hype for it. Everything about it looks pretty great. I'm also finding it interesting they're putting a heavier/stockier character into the cast. It seems like they're trying to fit just about anyone's type. (Also finger crossed for homolust between the two main guys!)

While I'd argue some of the titles are more for the shoujo/otome crowd, (like Norn), I basically agree. There is most certainly a rise in female otaku/fujoshi type shows, particularly of the sports variant. This guy welcomes them either way though cause more sports = more boys = better.
