Probably one of FUNimation's worst kept secrets. They had been listed as the distributor for the limited screenings, as well as providing it to local cons. Glad they finally confirmed it though. Been sitting on these for awhile now.

Yeah but if they're using the Warner Bros subtitles, they're pretty bad.

I do hope Funi decides to re-translate these.

This is incredibly surprising, since AoA has the license to the anime. Now I'm hoping that Funimation acquires said anime and re-dubs it (since the Media Blasters dub is incomplete and heavily edited).

The 1st came out in Germany in 2013, like what the hell? The US licensing scene is beyond broken.

Sadly it's one of their better dubs and triple times better than sony's *shivers* but I think a lot of the voices actually did fit the characters. The AoA ones I just couldn't get into..

....What? No? The dub is completely uncut. It was edited for television broadcast, yes, but the DVDs were completely uncut.

The DVDs that now cost an arm and a leg to buy. TT^TT

I'm glad, though. I never got the chance to see these legally, so I'm totally on board! Very Happy

Yes it has been out in the UK just as long, it seems weird that it hasn't been picked up until now in the states.

It may of been a bit rough around the edges, but it was pretty good, and the voice cast for the most part has people you don't find in a Funimation dub. I wouldn't want some to replace Steve Blum as Shishio, Kirk Thornton as Saito and Wendee Lee as Yumi and Yahiko. Among others, who would be unlikely to appear in Funis dub.
