Calling it a concept car is a bit much considering they just modified an FR-S, and the original idea isn't even theirs

But cool of them to pay homage I guess

The Scion FR-S is just the North American name for the Toyota 86.. of which its design was so inspired by the AE86, they passed the number 86..or " Hachi-Roku (ハチロク) " to its name.

They will be discontinuing calling it the Scion FR-S here in the US and Canada this August, and changing it to its Japanese name, the Toyota 86.

Not the usual pro shop or tuner Initial D inspired car, sure it looks more like a limited edition than a concept, but its kinda nice to see an official (european on top of it) branch of Toyota giving credits to the manga that made the AE86 an icon.

Nah, I see this kinda normal. People done the same color scheme on their non Trueno car and slap the carbon front bonnet and the Fujiwara shop decal. I'm tired already with this car mod.
