Goddammit that's an interesting premise - and a cool photo too. I'll be sure to check it out!

Honestly sounds great, but the fact that we have to wait more than a year is almost too much.. still looking forward to it.

Kawamori has a track record of doing whatever he wants while also keeping up with modern trends, which lets him remain interesting to follow. I will keep up to date on this. I had too many other things come up for this weekend, else I'd of attended AX myself for just Kawamori alone.

It looks good, but it seems like something that only would sell here and not in Japan.

Not sure why people seem to think this is an entirely new premise, or that Japanese won't like it. "near-future world where the boundary between human being and AI is vague" sounds a lot a subplot in Ghost in the Shell and similar stories. Expanding that to other "materials" is slightly different but they'll be probably be humanized enough so that it won't matter.

As much as I love Kawamori, he's really not known for "changing". He generally follows the same patterns in all his works, and rarely expands upon them outside of new characters. The only really new thing in Macross Delta for example is the "idol" concept...everything else is standard to what he has been doing for decades. Not that that's a bad thing, I'm just not expecting anything that will blow my mind.

Then it is a good thing that it isn't a Macross title.

Though the last time he made a new series we got Nobunaga the Fool which was hilariously stupid.

Sure does seem interesting and all however I can't help but to think that the story sounds vaguely familiar, oh well it's probably just my imagination. Confused

Idols have been part of his "concept" from the very beginning, SDF Macross 1982. As a matter of fact, idols was the very reason this series was ever made.

Worldwide audience, does that mean worldwide or just America? I don't see how one show can appeal to many different countries, unless they just mean at home and in America.

It does, but that part about Cambrian Explosion, may mean it is more about a biological human evolution, rather than a mechanical one. Which doesn't sound like much on the surface, but maybe it will lead into something very different.

Well, Satellite already made the best two anime to be released this decade, making a third would only further cement their prestige so needless to say I'm going to watch it. Cool
