I hope more people buy these games. There is also Eiyuu Densetsu(legend of heroes) Ao and Zero. Most of my friends do not even know this series even exists.
I can't wait for September 2016. I really enjoyed this series thus far.

I'm still wondering why this entire series seems to be getting no reaction whatsoever. The reviews are always good to excellent to like, *best JRPG in a while* - but, there's like NOTHING in terms of cosplay or even merchandise!
...then again, the U.S. publisher is also not very engaged in promoting the thing, so that may have something to do with it.

Because it is EXPENSIVE to advertise and unless you have a great marketing plan to recover cost through sales chances are it will simply be a loss of money for the publisher for something as "small" as a relatively niche title.

Why do you say that? A number of XSEED's employees are very active on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and various message boards. They may not have full-pages ads on GameFAQs, but they're a pretty tiny company and don't have Blizzard or Square-Enix's advertising budgets.
Actually, I think the amount of recognition the Trails series is getting nowadays is pretty impressive. Back before they released TitS on the PSP, most Falcom fans had just quietly accepted that the Trails series was never getting released in English (aside from the lackluster Gagharv PSP games). Then after TitS came out, everybody was scared we'd never get SC. Well, now we've got SC and Cold Steel, and the 3rd and CS2 are on the way -- and it seems inevitable that they'll translate CS3, and it's not unreasonable to think we might even get Ao and Zero if the others sell well.

And for what it's worth, I know a decent-sized group of people who are planning on a Cold Steel cosplay group for A-Kon next year!
