My guess is more info on the movie. Kinda doubt another season for now but I remember the movie announcement awhile ago and we haven't gotten info on it for awhile.

I doubt it's about an upcoming movie.
It states that the manga itself has an important announcement. I mean, that can still okay a movie, but I think in terms of specifics, it'd be more likely to assume something will end up happening involving the manga. I'd guess the manga is reaching it's ending. (I hope, this most recent arc is honestly the most boring FT arc yet, imho, and I'm honestly just sticking it out simply just to see how it's all going to end.) |

With how this usually goes, I'd expect an ending or final arc sort of situation.
It honestly has had a good run, got way more popular than I ever thought it would! |

I hope the series ends soon. I stopped because it was getting monotonous and, with no end in sight, I couldn't motivate myself with a "Well, only X more episodes to go until I can move on to a potentially better arc."

I want Fairy Tail to end as much as the next guy but really, anyone who seriously thinks it'll end before at least 2018 is kidding themselves.
People were saying it'd end this year months ago and look where we are now, this arc psychically can't even be the final one and i doubt it'll even end before this year ends. |

I'm going to throw my bet behind more info on the new movie. I doubt the manga is ending soon and I doubt they will pick up the anime again already.
