The in game animation by I.G unsurprisingly looks substantially better than this A-1 stuff. Thankfully they're just one and done with any involvement in this game after this special and it's all I.G and Atlus from there on out. Hate seeing Aniplex leech into even more things I like even when they aren't anime. Not even surprised that only half the booked time is actually animation and the other half is staff interviews since this is clearly a pure 100% A-1 commercial job.

I still think the only reason companies must be choosing A-1 over and over at this point for their commercials is for sheer quick cheapness of it all since they'll just about pump out anything on a mass production schedule. You just need a quick commercial not a complex job and you don't even really care how it ends up looking as long as it gets the necessary basic beats across so A-1 will get it done fast and cheap (maybe) without complications (again maybe) and you'll even get your Saturday TV slot on Toyko MX to air it in for a quickie one shot job. Of course the obvious cheap mass production reputation of A-1 seems to elude themselves since they think they are a premiere prestige studio and even have managed to convince a lot of fans that they are and that it's always a great thing when they land all these advertising deals but I don't see anything but a sweatshop factory really. No passion, no specialization since it's all a bunch of freelancers, just a willingness to do any and every job fast as a sole perk.

Again at least Atlus had the common sense to switch to I.G for the in game animations so they can likely look consistent and crisp. A-1 handled Persona 4 fine enough but that was way back in 2008 before they were a pure factory studio that tries to do a dozen things at the same time.

Yeah, it obvious A-1 is the go to for quick commercial tie-in anime. I think this looks better than Brotherhood so far, but its a one and done so whatever.

It's only canon if "Day Breakers" is stated to be canon, and I don't think Atlus has said one way or the other. And this is assuming he even has a name; it's a one-off special, so they could probably get away with not naming him.
