Well, thank goodness that I didn't buy the DVD version when it came out. I'll wait for the blu-ray version then.

Well, if they're putting it out on Blu-ray, I may finally take a look at this show. I confess though that every time I hear about Media Blasters putting something out, my reaction is surprise that they're still alive. They seem to have been holding on by their fingernails for a while now.

Dammit, if they wanted to make a dub, they should have waited to purchase the music...

I believe you misunderstood.
Media Blasters said that while they would've liked to make a dub, they can't because there is no Music & Effects Track available for this show.
There's no "waiting" for something that just doesn't exist or isn't available...

The company also stated that it cannot create an English language dub for the series as it has not acquired the separate music and effects track for the anime.

The bolded statement in the article pretty much implies that there is a separate music and effects track, just that they didn't purchase it when they licensed the series.

I think that's just about everyone's reaction at this point. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if the company is essentially just five or so people working out of a basement by now.

This isn't the first time where Media Blasters has said that it wanted to do a dub for something, but didn't get the music and effects track. I don't know if Media Blasters forgets to include it in its licenses sometimes, or if they mean that they wanted to get it, but couldn't afford it, and so only got what they needed for a subbed version.

If you're referring to Koe de Oshigoto, that was a problem on the Japanese side.

One issue, they have no M&E which has made doing the english dub a problem. I almost hit the floor cause in today's world there are always M&Es now for foreign but they insist they have none which may force a sub only release. I have been fighting with them for months now.
