I could swear that I had heard that GU (which I'm assuming is the same Project GU that's on CyberConnect 2's site -- although the outline of one of the characters does look somewhat like Kite) wasn't going to be a .hack game. Guess the rumors were wrong.

Yes, the rumours were wrong. Both the Project GU site and the official .hack English site say "TWO DAYS".

At any rate, was hoping it would be a real online game. Oh well.

Here's to hoping it's not a complete borefest like the previous .hack games were.

Dachande: I'm going to really enjoy an explanation for that comment.

Now to start, I really love .Hack to be perfectly honest, it's certainly one of the best collections of entertainment out there in my opinion displaying some of the best art, writting, scripting, music and gameplay (for the games) in all of its entirety.

I can say this new game is finally what we've been expecting especially since the final .Hack game of the 4 part saga had a data flag when you beat the game to carry over to another game like the 3 before it, which probably will play a role in the new game.

It may not be an online game but considering this new game I can be patient when it comes to that, I'm sure they'll do that eventually as well.

I'll definetly be waiting with high expectations that I know won't be let down.

Are they bring back all the .hack stuff that made me want to want to play/watch/read it all just to get the whole story? I guess we have to wait for the call on it, but since I heard that anime and game did pretty darn good over there, and over here, well, anime yes, games, well, it was okay.

In case anyone's curious to see some art and the trailer from the new game:

The trailer is under the Promotion section.

Okay to me that character your reffering to is a strong resemblance to Kite. That is my opnion.
I saw the clip that rrowv pointed out.Nice clip.
My opnion is that .hack games were pretty good.Defintely a good concept game.It was kinda drawn out and could have been done in three games instead of four games.
I hope they do an orginial stroy and freshen up this game as compared to the others.I am looking forward to previewing and playing it.
