Volume two introduced Koumoto Akane my favorite character in the series so it gets points from me for that. While the comedy works in the volume and the slow build of Shiragami and Kuromine's relationship makes the story feel more or less "realistic." Although I honestly feel the series is more of a Gag Manga with Romantic Comedy elements than a Romantic Comedy with Gag Comedy elements especially later on in the series..

This is one of my favorite comedy series, and it just keeps getting better and better as it progresses. I was so glad that Seven Seas picked it up and look forward to owning the entire thing!

It's so weird to look back at these early spoiler[harem-centric] volumes, but doing so definitely helps emphasize the fact that the plot actually progresses in this story.

This manga series succeded where Nisekoi failed. Let´s make comparisons:

-A simple yet somehow relatable mc VS a so much oblivious, blank page(or no personality) mc that spoiler[recognizes love near the end of the series].

-A well made and relatable cast of femenine characters VS stereotypical females.

-Female characters with lots of comedic possibilities VS a cast of females where Tsugumi could make a good action spin-off and Onodera got a good spin-off(Magical Patissiere Kosaki chan, I only read like 7 chapters but is better than the main series).

-A series that knows it is a comedy, while also knowing where the drama fits well, and even subverts some dramatic moments to good effect VS a series that doesn´t know what it wants to be: a soap opera, a romcom or a gag manga.

-The confession spoiler[and love relationship being made in less than 100 chapters VS the other confession and love relationship being ressolved obligatorily(via cancellation) in the end of the series].

-spoiler[A good couple of kisses in this series VS the other having no kisses, and the one we got, is not even shown].

My monster secret could have been a good series for Jump if it was published there, seriously.

[Edit]: added spoiler tags. Errinundra.
