Calm down, guys. We don't know the details in this particular case, but we all agree that Risa Taneda is a talented actress and hopes she gets well soon, so there's really nothing to fight about.
The entertainment industry in Japan is pretty ruthless. Year after year we've been watching as various creative talents bow out of the industry temporarily or permanently and even pass away at relatively young ages. I can't be sure if it's due to long standing poisonous attitudes in the work culture in Japan overall, or if its entertainment industry has particular problems that can be dealt with separately from the rest of the culture. I know I'm particularly worried about manga artists who have unimaginably demanding schedules. It's always sad to hear about another artist who has taken ill, though, whether or not the illness is connected to their work. |

Considered the timing of the announcement, where the Summer season's end is approaching, one can assume she tried to finish her current shows before taking a break.

Jokes aside, I hope she gets well soon. And now I'm curious; just how far ahead do voice actors record their lines? I assume Yatori won't suddenly be on a long solo mission or something. |
