Kinda looking forward to it and ye we dont see somethin like this where they would stop the whole thing and restart from the beginning, kinda made me think this dude has some ballz and trusted staff that supported this decision since as it was mentioned there is quite some money involved and the risk with upsetting the fans due such decision.
Also iam really happy that they want to keep the mecha animation with the hand-drawn style and not CGI which i see as a big plus.
So yeah i cant wait to see the new episodes and the changes that they will make. hopefully its really better as they are promising

Integrity and a desire to produce the best one can? In MY anime? It's more possible then it sounds. Kudos to him, he's got some steel balls.

That's one way to avoid a "Jiggle Jiggle Heaven" situation

The remade Episode 1 aired on thursday, and Funimation put said remade episode up for streaming. So, yes. Funimation'll upload the remade episodes with the same schedule they used before the show stopped

Oddest thing about this is that the original in no way looked bad at all.

Great news, I hope the show turns out well. I respect the guy for doing this, but I really hope this doesn't harm the standing of Actas too much with broadcasting companies, this is their second major blunder after Girls und Panzer.
I really liked the original first episode, so here's to hoping the show is great.

I watched the new first episode, but since the original one was so low-key in differentiating itself from other mech shows, I forgot how most of the original run's episodes went, so it might as well be an all new experience.
The show got sponsored to run for 13 episodes, but with the delay and the re-start, I wonder if that'll affect the show's episode count.

"he....felt that producing a hand-drawn robot anime "burned a lot of calories"....Given that most mecha anime are now animated with CG, he wants Actas [Regalia's animation studio] to do its best as one of the few studios making hand-drawn robot anime."
Please continue to burn calories. I beg of you.
Can't wait to see a new and improved Ingrid.

It's a shame that Blu-Ray pre-orders looked terrible before all of this happened. I hope this works out for them somehow, like good merchandise sales or something.

Hand-drawn mecha is a miracle to behold in 2016. Really glad they're pushing the quality control.

Just saw the new first episode. They definitely added some stuff. I think the animation is better, but I can't really compare it to the original at this point so I'm not 100% on that. It seemed more coherent and introduced some of the characters better IMO, but some of that may be from knowing the characters from the original run. If it keeps up like that, I'll definitely have to adjust my rating upwards from decent.
