well if we are getting a Boruto Anime or OVA i hope it keeps to Kishimotos art style (like the Boruto movie) because the person doing the Boruto manga can't do a lot of the characters properly (although i admit their Boruto and Naruto are pretty good)

@ SageModeKakarot:

The guy doing the art of the Boruto manga, Mikio Ikemoto, was one of Masashi Kishimoto's assistants.

I'm thinking they will retain Kishimoto's art because it'd be very weird to see the animation stylings switch up after over a decade. Studio Perriot would have to go out of their way to adapt to new character models and it would be a messy process. I'm hoping for an actual mini series that adapts the Gaiden while also going a bit further. I'm losing hope with the Boruto manga every month it releases because the retreading of content from the movie is absolutely stupid.

Don't forget about his design for Sasuke. The dude taking over for Kishimoto made him look like f**kin Snape from Harry Potter.

Umm guys, the anime didn't really follow Kishimoto's art. Kishimoto actually changed how he drew the manga because he loved the style of Tetsuya Nishio and Hirofumi Suzuki. So they'll stick with art of the character designers.

Honestly, there is nothing wrong with his art style. I got into it. The only character that looked weird was Sasuke lol

I don't know how valid that is. There's literally panels in the anime that are animated verbatim to the manga counterpart. They definitely try to emulate Kishimoto's art. Whatever they refine is obviously extra but it's pretty consistent with Kishimoto's artistry.

I hope if Boruto does get adapted into an anime series or OVA, it uses the character models from the movie. Boruto's missing ahoge and Sarada's different outfit just bugs me. Not to mention every adult female looks like a babyface child.

If we do get a Boruto anime (and I'm hoping to God we do Very Happy), more than likely they'll be going with the style used in the Boruto movie, aka Kishi's style. It makes the most sense. It's what people are use to, and so I think even though the Boruto manga is drawn differently, it should have no baring on what the anime will look like. Or at least that's what I believe.

Sometimes people will read a manga or watch an anime out of spite so they can ridicule the series. That is, they do it to point out on how they feel the series should have been. I do this with "Boruto" from my NaruSaku self.

i hope so, like i said i have no issue with the current art after all, it is a spin off and it can be pretty good at times

maybe it will be like Dragon Ball Super where the original author works with the Anime staff more than the manga creator
