Most likely. Maybe they'll update the roller coaster the case takes place on too. I don't see those uncomfortable horseshoe collar restraints used on many coasters nowadays. I only ever see em on old Arrow Dynamics coasters. |

Um, why? I mean, I like Case Closed / Detective Conan. I own everything that Funimation released, and I've been getting the manga from Viz, and I love it, but why would I care about seeing a new adaptation of the first story? It's not like it was a particularly fantastic story - there are way better stories later - but even if it were truly awesome, I'd much rather having something new. This seems like a total waste of time to me.
Oh well. Since Funimation stopped releasing the series, the only thing new that I've seen that they animated has been the films. I haven't bothered tracking down fansubs of the anime, and I doubt that I'll bother with this. I'll just stick to the manga, which is generally better anyway, because the filler for the anime was generally pretty mediocre, and the non-filler is obviously all in the manga. Unless the filler improved considerably after the stuff that Funimation released, the only anime-only material that's been particularly good has been the movies. |

Shouldn't it have been mentioned that Crunchyroll streams the simulcast of the series? (They've been doing so since late 2014).

I think that might be the point. The first case or encounter with the BO (Gin and Vodka) were not particularly fantastic or at least having enough materials for a two-hour special, so that I suppose they'd add some things which could make the story worthy of remaking (they better would). I personally imagine it would have some perspectives on the BO side, so as not only Gin and Vodka appearing in the special, and what they've been up to as the earlier story happened. *pretty minor spoiler* I heard in the manga they started to talk about the victims of the pills, so maybe they'd add something related to that too. I also want to see Sherry perhaps handed over some pills to Gin. Or Vermouth, Akai, Bourbon, doing something at some point in that timeline. And if lucky, we might have Rum in the scheme too. |

Yeah, you didn't read my comment correctly even though I made it obvious. Forgive me Joker, for what I am about to do. The person was asking for the air date. Common sense says that since Winter is first being reported, the specific info he/she is looking for would have provided in said article from the start had it been available. Clearly, it's not. So obviously it will be provided when we are closer to Winter because it is not yet ready to be announced. That was really hard, huh? |

Detective Conan/Case Closed is one of those anime that I can watch a bunch of at once, but then I don't want to see it again for a long time. I hope they retcon it so the Black Organization drugged everyone with something that causes them to not age for 20 years.
