Nothing from Eiichiro Oda and One Piece? I figured that'd be the big one, considering it's one of two series in Weekly Shonen Jump that's even close to half the publication time of Kochikame, and the other one is only because the author constantly takes year-long hiatuses.

Also, are these collaborations in the upcoming issue going to cause problems for Viz's Shonen Jump[i], which, unsurprisingly, does not run [i]Kochikame?

I can't speak for anything bigger, but I know that the cover page of the most recent One Piece chapter was a KochiKame tribute.

I see. So his tribute was a bit earlier than the others, and I'm guessing he did it pre-emptively and without knowledge there'd be a full colabiration later.

I fell behind on Shonen Jump, and I'm intending to catch up starting today, so I didn't know about that. Unless it's for the chapter Viz will publish this coming Monday.

Shueisha also went against its normal policy of not featuring a manga on the cover of the Weekly Shonen Jump issue that publishes its final chapter.

I know you didn't say "for the first time" but if some people understood this as the first time this happens, Shueisha already did that with Slam Dunk (considering how crazy famous it was).

I saw some tributes 1 or 2 weeks ago. I think i saw them on Toriko, Shokugeki no Souma and Boku no Hero Academia

Only care about the collab with Saiki, Samon and Beelzebub: The others can't into comedy, albeit I haven't read Isobee.

No.
Every manga had a tribute to it in that issue of JUMP. He didn't do it earlier than anyone else, he did the same as the rest.

This is a completely different thing, these are legit crossovers, not tributes to Kochikame.

Oh, okay. I wasn't entirely sure what it was. (Still sounds like it could cause problems for Viz.)

Or Bleach... OHHHHHH....! Rolling Eyes That's right, nobody cares about that piece of garbage anymore. Oh Kubo... you failed so bad...

Anyways... so this is an actual collaboration, not just a nod to the series? Like how the cover page of a recent One Piece chapter had Luffy draw the eyebrows with a giant paintbrush, or the eyebrows were on Mineta from My Hero Academia. So we'll be seeing some chapters of these series where the characters cross over with each other, like that DBZ/One Piece/Toriko crossover anime special?

and Naruto isn't garbage that people don't give a shit about anymore? I question people's tastes on here. then again I find it pretty sad someone has to find some way to shit on Kubo even though it's on an article that has nothing to do with Bleach Rolling Eyes

I've never really had much interest in Naruto, but I've basically followed Bleach from beginning to end for nearly ten years, from 2006/2007 to 2016 and slowly seen it devolve into the mediocrity that it became. Sure it was a low jab, but one well justified in my opinion. So hopefully now you understand why I didn't feel the need to mention Naruto among the crap factor.

Obviously it is not. They just revealed that Naruto is best-selling anime franchise for Tv Tokyo due to its popularity both inside and outside of Japan. Movies and video games helped increase the company's profits. On the other hand there was nothing new about Bleach franchise for years so they are not same...

Kishimoto did a 5-6 pages of collaboration chapter on Kochikame Jump btw

Something else I think needs to be pointed out: You're telling people not to call Bleach garbage while calling Naruto garbage at the same time.

Speaking of video games for the franchise, I think Bleach home console video games only went so far as the Gamecube, PS2, and PSP as far as I recall. I know there was a mobile game recently, but I don't even think that had any content from beyond what the anime adapted from the manga, so no content from the Quincy War arc or anything. On the other hand, you got Naruto games coming out on PS4 and X Box One. I'm not a fan of Naruto, but even I can acknowledge the amount of popularity it has over Bleach, especially how much they want to milk it by extending the anime with filler, and various manga spinoffs and such. I'd say other than the manga, Bleach's popularity in Japan probably fizzled out around 2010 or so, right?
