Well, Toei obviously doesn't care about Pokemon anime, since they have absolutely nothing to do with it

Those few clips look really good. The decision to send Satoshi to a boarding school isn't a terrible one, in the idea that he won't drastically be de-leveled(beyond the fact he's only got Pikachu). I could see some sort of graduation Pokémon League. I'm hoping they'll sell it well; it kind of reads like Red secluding himself atop Mt. Silver to train, except this is much more kid-oriented.
Man, Pokémon's original audience refuses to quit, though. Satoshi looks fine. He's got a more youthful, rounder streak to him, almost as if this was a careful consideration made to appeal to kids...

Is a new company or group animating Pokemon these days? I haven't seen the TV show in years so I clicked out of curiosity since I'm excited for Sun and Moon and my. god.
That animation looks so weird. Ash/Satoshi looks just plain wrong.
The Z-pose is goofy but it reminds me of poses from classic DBZ so I can laugh and still enjoy it, but dat animation quality...

OLM. To be honest, I'm a bit happy with this trailer. I'm not sure about the setting, but if this is the animation style, we're likely to see a lot more quality animation in general. I was afraid it might dip once XY ended, but it looks like my fears were unfounded there. Of course, this is still only previewing the first episode, so there are still cautious worries of mine.

haven't you people noticed that when character designs are simplified the animation tends to be more fluid and dynamic? urghh its a trend that been going for a long time now... naruto is one big example (when they have guest animators like norio matsumoto, anyway) i don't expect the whole series to look like this thou... i hate it when people say "the animation looks horrible" when in fact they're just referring to the character designs because this looks pretty good in fact.
