I really hope there's another Big Three soon. One Piece must be so lonely...

Yeah...I imagined some people might have replaced bleach and naruto with their own favourite (shokugeki no soma, hero academy, saiki series, haikyuu etc)

It be time before we get another Big 3

We already have a perfectly acceptable big three in; One Piece, My Hero Academia, and Black Clover. With Toriko, Food Wars, and World Trigger shoring things up. A strong line-up overall.

Is this a new to draw eyes, cause I don't even understand what's that suppose to represent? It's like he has giant bag under his eyes except in opposite direction...

Toriko is already on its way out though, I doubt it'll make it to 2017. It's been dwindling in sales and ranking for a while

Things definitely seem to be heading toward a conclusion. Hopefully it won't be a train-wreck like Bleach.

Haikyuu!! is bigger than both My Hero Academia and Black Clover. We also have Hunter x Hunter in the magazine even though it's on hiatus.

The big three as a concept however tends to owe itself to battle shounen series, over sport series, as great as Haikyuu!! Is that is.

The big three refers to the largest shounen jump titles. It was never restricted to battle shounen series.

The big three doesn't even exist in Japan, it was coined term by people in the west.

Looking at the artwork, I think he just happens to have very light irises. Combined with his rather light skin, it can get rather confusing.

Black Clover? Shokugeki seems like a much stronger candidate for the Big Three.

Is BC popular in Japan? All I know of it is the negative reception it has in the West.

Black Clover has rarely left the top 5 in the Weekly Shonen Jump popularity surveys. It's right up there with My Hero Academia.

If going by Big Three, we'd also have to consider their anime. Toriko, World Trigger, and even D.Gray-man had a chance but were unable to continue going for very long. All the others are cour-based and are not broadcast on television, which doesn't strike much of the lasting impact that CN's Naruto run, Adult Swim's Bleach run, and (dare I say it) 4Kids' One Piece run were able to get. Now our Big Three is pretty much SAO, AOT, and OPM - none of which are WSJ titles.
