Interesting news. Now I might finally pick this up and read it in the future especially after the anime adaptation announced no long ago.

Since the announcement of the OVA's, I wanted to get one of these books, but the first volumen's price was really expensive. This are really great news.

It seems Vertical will be the one licensing Isin's books from now on. Very Happy

Yes

Now here's to hoping they'll license all volumes.

Still got the first two books Del Rey published back in the day, will be interested to hear whether Vertical do a better translation which might make them worth re-purchasing. I would definitely buy the ones that didn't come out before.

Considering I thought the only way I'd get to read volumes 3 onwards would be by learning Japanese, I'm very glad of this news. Hopefully this means Kizumonogatari has done well.

Yeah, the previous translation could be improved upon easily. Hopefully they're getting the guy they had on Kizumonogatari to retranslate it.

Kizu did incredibly well for them. Like, way way above expectations.

Yes, please! I don't want to overwork the guy, but his translation flowed so well. Almost definitely the best translation of a LN I've ever read. Mr. Ransom is a great writer.

Love you Vertical. <3

If this is anywhere near how great their Kizumonogatari translation was then I really can't wait. I'm so happy we're finally at a point were many popular visual novels and novels are getting Official Western releases.

I never got Zaregoto when it first came out as I hadn't heard of NisiOisin yet and it's always been something I was interested in.

P.S. The OVA will be directed by Akiyuki Simbo. Is that actually a different way to translate his name? it's my first time seeing it like that. I don't speak Japanese so I can't comment.

I hope this means the ovas might get a usa release as well. I'm glad vertical's picking up more novels I believe their more valve in a novel than a manga. I can blaze through a vol of manga in a few minutes where it take a full night or 2 to go through a good book. I bought the deathnote side story nisoisin wrote as well as kizu I'm looking forward to more of his works to come over here

Yeah, it's an alternate spelling/romanization. That's the way he prefers it to be spelled.

I wonder how this translation will differ from the already released one.

In any case I hope they do the rest and don't stop after volume 2....

Oh, I didn't know he actually preferred that. I've been stubborn and have continued to call him Shinbo up to now just because that's what I've known him as for years... If he actually prefers that though, I guess I should switch it up.

I was going to leap in to defend the translator and say it read perfectly OK to me, but then I realised you'd probably know better than I do.
