I was literally laughed about that coincidence of fate.
But for seriously, I really expected the anime on my "Mahou Shoujo Shimakaze-chan" after all Dengeki advertising. Story is really good in that one, and the main male hero is completely out of norms... because he is an big anthropomorphic white lion demihuman.

I'm actually quite excited about this news. This is an interesting series that stands out from a lot of the other light novel fantasies out there due to a lack of "stranger in a strange land" from the story.

It's a unique fantasy world with some great artistry and I cannot wait to see the anime for it. Getting White Fox to work on it is great, as they've proven multiple times that they're superb for this sort of work, and I'm counting down the days until I can see this on my screen.

She looks a lot like a white haired Louise from ZnT. Never heard of the LN, but sounds interesting enough.

She is Shimakaze from the Kantai Collection - except different eye color and different set of clothes. (Well, that's because Shizuma Yoshinori is the illustrator for the both of them, but the similarities brings some joke - on the Chinese forums the series is nicknamed "Mahou Shoujo Shimakaze", literally).

I already know it will get anime sooner since her scale figure is planned to be release by Kotobukiya. As for story I read manga and feel a bit cliché but not sure how it will end(dropped it half way)

Not sure how good anime will be. I hope the characters closer to Shizuma Yoshinori's design. I myself is one of Shizuma-sensei's fans(see my avatar)
Edit: Nevermind, saw the anime key pic. Closer enough to "Shimakaze" look.

I read a bit o this story, and so far I like it. Firstly, it is set in a fantasy world where the characters are all inhabitants are from said world, instead of being transported there. It might not be a big narrative difference, but in an oversaturated genre, that kind of settings comes as a welcome change.

Another than that, the story seems average, but still entertaining.

I don't really see how this is any different than any medieval style fantasy. People keep talking about how over saturated the people from another world arc is, but this is just straight up fantasy an even more over saturated market not just in anime/manga but gaming tv shows and film. You have stuff ranging from Danmachi to Game of Thrones.

You basically just said the equivalent well a particular sub genre of an overall genre is over saturated, so its good that this is just a generic version of the overarching genre. So this is somehow a non existent change that is a change.

Also for the record by default usually most of the cast in transported world shows are inhabitants of the world anyway, its usually only the main character and a handful of others. But say in a show like gate basically all the girls in the party are from the original world. So its not like you are going to get some unique perspective.

Well, Danmachi isn't medieval style fantasy, but RPG-inspired fantasy work (and that's different). The things is there is too many works of that kind for nowadays, not too mention the "isekai fantasy", so meeting the real fantasy worlds in LN is much less often.

Although I'd rather bet on Zero Kara Mahou difference only in the fact that the main character of it isn't even human (and furry lovers society will be seriously adore this guy). Cause there isn't many novels with that kind of character to begin with, at least not on the main role.

The Manga-Updates' entry for this series says that bandits stole this tome from her lair. It also adds that this sorceress is haughty and this beast-man is kindhearted.
