Well I believe with their budget, the movie will be good if the new girl doesn't fall for Kirito like in 5 minutes of their first meeting.

Wow, the animation looks phenomenal. A-1 certainly aren't skimping on the budget for this movie Cool

Yuna reminds me a lot of Seven from Lost Song. I wonder if she's a real person, an NPC, or an AI? I quite like her design either way Smile

Eiji looks pretty decidedly like the main villain, or at least one of them, and it seems like they're trying to recreate SAO or Aincraid in the real world through the AR system.

Well, she seems more into Asuna going by the trailer Razz.

The video clearly says he is the #2 player. Perhaps a translation error?

Just in case the article wasn't clear, the text for the character descriptions were taken directly from Aniplex of America's official U.S. website for the film, the translation isn't ours.

Seems like someone goofed on their end then since the trailer and website contradict each other. Regardless of who made the mistake, don't you think its worth editing the article instead of parroting along something obviously wrong?

I checked the Japanese page for it here: http://sao-movie.net/character/
And it just says "high rank." I really have no idea how they got "the top ranked" from that, and he clearly isn't since the trailer specifically says he is #2.

Considering how overpowered Kirito was in his previous seasons, it will be interesting seeing him actually having to get off his ass and use his physical strength to fight. Taking away his main advantage and actually giving him a REAL struggle without being backed up by in game stats was a good move. I'm looking forward to this. And who's that guy that's using the dual swords in the movie art?
