 .............What is this crap. I thought they were Making the movie with different Rangers. They're REMAKING the Original ones from the 17 season (I think it was) of the japanese one and the First season to come to the US. Seriously Saban what the hell are you on. Giving them freaken superpowers are you kidding me.
I Don't know what's worse, the crap they they tried to do to Sailor moon all those years ago or this.

I'm disappointed in this trailer too but they've been calling them by the season one character names for at least a year now. Where have you been?

Not really. I've just haven't see anything brought up about the movie since the first picture showing Rita. I've then forgotten about it until now. So It was more of a forgotten thing than being under a rock. |

I was hoping for the line "Ahh After 10,000 years I'm free! Time to conquer Earth!" Not really digging the teaser or the suits. It feel like the FANT4STIC movie, and that a bad thing.

I'm fine with them rebooting the original Rangers in general. The problem isn't that they're rebooting them. The problem is they're behaving in ways that don't resemble the original Rangers in the slightest that they might as well be different characters. This movie doesn't have any of the fun and energy of the original. While some of the later seasons could have dark moments, Power Rangers as a whole is supposed to be silly and cheesy and not taking itself too seriously. They seem to be trying too hard to make this dark and edgy. I'll also be mad if we have like two hours of emo drama and only 20 minutes of actual Rangers and Zords.

I am shocked to say that i greatly enjoyed this trailer, and i have zero love for this franchise. It reminded me of act 1 of Bayformers 1. You know, the one good part of that whole series?
I am now converted to watch this film, if a second trailer looks as good and can bring the action. The suits looks amazing btw. A lot like Snyder´s Flash but that´s a plus. |

OK, for one, while they share the same names as the original cast, they're not technically the same characters because this is an alternate take.
And as someone who grew up with the Rangers, I'm still looking forward to the film. I REALLY think it ISN'T going to be as pretentiously dark as this trailer may make it seem to be because I'm fairly sure they are still aware it's Power Rangers. (the specks of silly Power Ranger like humor and dialogue like when they're jumping across the canyon for example) But overall, why re-imagine something if you're just gonna do the same exact thing? Come on guys, we've had years and years of the campy, and cheesy stuff. And while I still enjoy that (I buy the seasons for a reason), I don't mind this take to step away from that a little bit this time. A part of me is just happy I'm getting a Power Rangers movie that isn't just an extended episode of the television show, but a serious blockbuster project with some real money behind it and major talent on board. I never thought they'd actually consider picking the franchise up for such treatment. The suits look pretty damn cool, and the Megazords are confirmed. Just quit complaining and keep an open mind. As a fan, wouldn't you rather root for the film to actually be a fun time instead of wanting to hate it? If it is bad, then it's bad, but we can't judge that solely from the trailer. I don't know how many great movies I've seen that were totally misrepresented by the trailers. "Drive" being one I can think of off the top of my head. Plus, BRYAN CRANSTON IS IN IT. this looks like someone made a sequel to chronicle but put in some power rangers stuff in there.
