MHS domination continues. 21k in 20 years for TR. Pretty good first week for DPT:MS. Congrats to PSVR Worlds on being the first VR game in the top 10. Come on P5. You're half way to 400k.
Great opening for PS VR. Doubled the Xbox One's first week numbers.

50k for PS VR is higher than I thought it'd be. Still, this holiday season will be where we see if PS VR has global mass appeal or not.

It may be a slow week, but even factoring this into account, the sales for Paper Mario: Color Splash seem quite abysmal...

I would say Color Splash certainly under performed. It's a little tough to compare to the previous two entries. They were on vastly more popular systems. That being said Sticker Star sold 129K in its first week earlier on in the 3DS' life (Dec 2012).
How about compared to other Wii U games then? First a couple RPGs's first week sales.
Xenoblade Chronicles X - 85K
Tokyo Mirage Session FE - 26K
How about other Mario games?
New Super Mario Bros U - 163K
Mario 3D World - 99K
Mario Maker - 138K
Captain Toad - 28K
So there you have it. Color Splash couldn't even match a niche RPG like Tokyo Mirage or a Toad spin-off game. Not great results.

Well...In that case, then, it's official: Paper Mario: Color Splash is a failure...at least in Japan.
