It (well, if it existed) isn't even technically a power plant, just a facility for transforming high voltage electricity from primary power lines to lower voltage electricity for secondary neighbourhood power lines.
Here's a photo of one such substation in Dorval, Quebec that I took in 2002. Even if someone wanted to visit a substation, they're fenced off for good reason, not that there's much to see. No sexy cooling towers or mighty turbines or anything interesting. |
