Nice collaboration here!

While I love Japanese culture, I also have a particular fondness of Arabic culture. I also think for some reason that Arabic and Japanese culture are kind of similar despite them having vastly different customs. I don't why. Razz

I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this.
It's always exciting to see new projects, especially from an area of the world that doesn't get a lot of positive attention.

When it's so much work to censor imported anime, that you might as well make your own
[kidding!]

It's always cool to see more international anime collaborations.

Don't think I'll be supporting this. Saudi Arabia's human rights record is atrocious.

Yeah, I'm guessing having any strong female characters show up was out of the question.

Maybe you didn't noticed that this is an anime esque animation and not a live action show? Any way, since a lot of people are presumebly really familiar with anime style animation nowadays, it's probably better to take advantage of that.

With that said, I didn't watch the video and might not do so, Magi is great enough.

It's not backed by the Saudi Arabian government, but by a private company who has no control over politics there. It's kind of stupid to refuse to consume media for something beyond a person's control.

Boy is cute, style looks vintage, probably a very basic story for aforementioned reasons... but it's cute, and international collabs are always a good thing.

...and Japanese people don't look like anime characters...

I can't help but look at this and think.... these characters very likely have values incompatible with a liberal, secular society.

I will absolute not support anything coming out of Saudi Arabia. You think the money they earn from this wont be spent there, wont benefit that economy and government? What a sick joke. The private company behind this collab shouldn't have agreed to the partnership in the first place, it was perfectly within their control and now it's in ours as the consumer.

You should not support anime at all, then. Some of them can air on Saudi Arabia TV, making money to this company or another which will then benefit the country's economy and the government too.
